An Old Midlish Rhyme
The wind from the North sings of heroes of Olde
The wind from the East makes our blood run Cold
The wind from the South smells of Spices and Gold
But the wind from the West tells of warriors Bold.

Retribution

It has been a year since the Battle under the Tower (click)  but the villages North of the Great Pass still keep a wary eye out for the enemy.

Then one day in late January................

To Arms! The Enemy is at hand!

  1. Is the road painted on or just lain on the thetop? The terrain is simple, natural and very effective. I am basing currently and trying to work out if I want to flock or not.
Looking forward to the game report.

    1. The road was painted on as were the fields and some of woods for my 2018 Great War game at Huzzah to make travel to and setup at Huzzah! easier and as an homage to the printed paper playing board from my old 25mm Marx 'Over the Top' playset.

I wasn't expecting to get much use of it afterwards but I've found the terrain to be reasonably flexible esp if I adjust scenarios (eg this is essentially a mirror image of the OHW map) and ignore some bits of painted terrain and add others. eg there is a road under the wood which is marked by cloth wood patches painted to match the cloth and made at the same time.

  2. Great looking tabletop Ross - the second pic is very atmospheric.

    1. Thanks, I confess to liking my ruined tower for this setting, ruins of the old world. (How many toy centuries does 45 human years represent?)
