Knights in grey primer

The Midland knights (only 1/2 dressed ) with the Earl of Cowcross at their head .  Nothing like heraldry to remind one just how much one's eyes have deteriorated and how shaky ones hands have become.
These Garrison knights have such deliate detail and such natural draping that it was tempting to change my mind and shade and highlight them but I've never painted 'proper' toy knights so I will persevere and hopefully the reflection from the gloss finish will disguise the odd shaped stars and wobbly stripes.

      Just waiting on bases to be finished, a game, well Christmas and stuff is interfering! Maybe next week, if not then the week after.

    Greeks and knights will be back in March - I'm closed for the winter. Might even get round to painting some of my own... actually, knights I always have a problem with... say an emblem faces forward on the nearside of the knight, do you also paint it facing forward on the offside, or does it face to the rear?

      I'm no expert in heraldry but my understanding is that if its supposed to be on the left when you look at it then it should it always be on the left when you look at it.
